About the Centre
CMR facilities are located at the St Lucia campus of The University of Queensland and at major Brisbane Hospitals.
CMR established the $18 million Queensland Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Network (QNN) with funding from The University and the Queensland Government. This facility includes Australia's only 900 MHz NMR spectrometer optimised for biomolecular studies and a 16.4T micro-imaging facility for animal neuroimaging.
CMR hosts the Queensland node and central administration of the Australian National Imaging Facility, a distributed network of multimodal imaging centres across Australia, established under the NCRIS Characterisation Capability.
CMR employs academic and research professionals such as medical practitioners, neurologists, neuropsychologists, radiographers, engineers, scientists and administrative personnel. Mathematicians and computer programmers contribute to the increasingly complex world of data analysis and software development, and to instrument engineering and design.
