I have spent 20 years at the University of Queensland working in CMR for the last 11 years as Head of Administration.  Prior to that I spent 5 years working as the Executive Officer with Brian Wilson, the then Vice-Chancellor of this University.  I spent over 10 years working in the Northern Territory where I was research assistant to the Commissioner of the Northern Territory Police; I also worked for two years with the Northern Land Council, chaired by Galarrwuy Yunupingu, where I traveled to remote communities with the Council meeting with traditional land owners and assisting in the work surrounding the negotiations for the development of the uranium mines at Jabiru and Nabarlek. In particular I was present at the signing of the historic Ranger Uranium agreement by Galarrwuy and the then Minister for Aboriginal Affairs, Ian Viner.  Following which, Galarrwuy was named Australian of the Year.
