Mrs Durbridge is a senior research Radiographer, with significant clinical experience. She has a particular interest in musculoskeletal (MSK) imaging. She trained in MRI at The Wesley Hospital, and did her undergraduate radiography and post graduate ultrasound training at RMIT in Melbourne. Gail is accredited as both an MRI radiographer and a sonographer. She is undertaking research for her PhD entitled “A longitudinal study of the knee extensor mechanism in elite footballers” with the University of Queensland. Other recent research projects include imaging of neonatal brains in premature infants, imaging of scoliosis patients with and without load simulating an erect posture, imaging of the sciatic nerve in the thigh, imaging of the cervical spine extensor musculature and various fMRI projects.

Mrs Durbridge has a key role in the authoring and delivery of the MRT teaching programs. She is course coordinator and tutors in seven subjects, including the Postgraduate Diploma and Masters research projects.
