Career Profile:
Prof Ghafor is a Professor of the College of Education, Department of Physics, Basra University and Director of the Polymer Research Center, University of Basra. Prof. Ghafor came to the Centre as an Endeavour Fellowship sponsored Visiting Professor. He has been appointed as a Research Fellow for 12 months and is a member of the Polymer Research Group (AIBN). His research interests include the study of the thermal, mechanical and degradation properties of clay nanocomposites for agricultural application. He is also interested in studying the physical properties of semiconducting and conducting polymers and their electronic applications.
