Mark has been continuously involved in clinical practice of medical imaging since first qualification in 1974. Prior to accepting the position of Research Radiographer with CMR in 2001, he worked for 6 years as Senior Cardiac Radiographer at a private hospital in Brisbane. This work involved all aspects of radiological imaging of the heart, its arteries, and function, as well as interventional procedures such as PTCA, intravascular stenting and EP studies. In the nine years prior to that, as a Senior Radiographer at a 420 bed public hospital, Mark was involved in all aspects of interventional radiology and training of Radiography students and Junior Radiographers.

He has also been continuously involved with the clinical practice of acupuncture since first qualification in 1976. As recognition for work in field of Traditional Chinese Medicine he was awarded a Fellowship of Australian Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine Association on 12 April 1997. To present knowledge Mark is the only practitioner of both acupuncture and medical imaging in Australia.
He is currently accredited to practice clinical acupuncture and licenced to perform diagnostic imaging. Currently being a researcher – concentrating in imaging of the brain and heart.
